Photographing Life's Great Moments

As a mum of 2 gorgeous girls plus 2 sweet dogs, this was the catalyst for my love of photography.  

In my shoots, I endeavor to make every session relaxed, fun, and natural and I thank you for taking the time to have a look at my work and to consider me to take your special family photos.

Before we all get together, I like to get a few ideas together based on your family's likes and enjoyments, and also your own personal ideas. I am always happy to meet before the day to introduce myself and to talk through ideas, suggestions, or special requirements you may have and you are also welcome to forward any images or ideas you have in mind before the day.

Having a theme or style helps to give direction and to help relax and involve the whole group and in particular young children.

I'll often bring along a few props or games to play to 'forget' about the camera.  I fully understand we don't all enjoy having lots of attention placed on us or to feel under any obligation to pose or perform, it is with this in mind I incorporate some downtime to play, explore, enjoy a snack or have a little run-around. I often advise bringing a little picnic or a blanket to sit on and have a cuddle or read a book for some beautiful candid shots to illustrate the love and connections between everyone.

Canterbury has so many beautiful locations to choose from and I have a few of my favourite spots to visit and also a home studio with beautiful backdrops if you would prefer or if the weather takes a turn for the worse.
